Dear friends, Woman has to take Deeksha only from a woman guru, and there is a verse in a text to that effect, which I read in my childhood, during my upanayana. As the Shankara Matha in Jagannath Puri had grihashthi guru at one time. I wonder if the guru patni there could give deeksha to women. My 2 cents,
