[Advaita-l] Brahman is the Upasya and also the Upasaka

In the Ahalya prayer to Rama that I shared recently:

अहल्याकृतरामस्तोत्रम्

 there is a very exalted concept:

अहल्योवाचः ।
अहो कृतार्थाऽस्मि जगन्निवास ते पादाब्जसंल्लग्नरजःकणादहम् ।
स्पृशामि यत्पद्मजशङ्करादिभिर्विमृग्यते रन्धितमानसैः सदा ॥ १॥

अयं हि विश्वोद्भवसंयमानामेकः स्वमायागुणबिम्बितो यः ।
विरिञ्चिविष्ण्वीश्वरनामभेदान् धत्ते स्वतन्त्रः परिपूर्ण आत्मा ॥ ८॥

Look at the two verses here.  The first one says The dust of Your feet is
searched for by Brahma and Shiva, etc. with great fervor. The second one
says: You have taken the forms of Brahma and Shiva and Vishnu.

This is the beauty of Veda Vyasa's method:  The upasya is no different from
the upasaka. The seeker and the sought are one.
