[Advaita-l] Yoga in Bhagavad Gita

Namaste,

A few years back I was asked to give a talk on Vedanta And Yoga to Yoga
students[1] <#_ftn1> who were predominantly practitioners of Yoga-asanas
and Dhyana (meditation). I talked about the meaning of the word Yoga and
how it is understood by a Vedantin. I gave an introduction to Vedanta and
then talked about how Bhagavad Gita is both Brahmavidya and Yoga Shastra.
Further When I was giving that talk I recollected different verses from
Bhagavad Gita which referred to the Ashta Angas (Eight Limbs) of Yoga.
Later I referred to Bhagavad Gita and prepared this note as a reference.
