Amara Gujarati loko: Diwali Subbhakaamiyen ane Sal Mubarak!
I take it that Gujarat VS is similar to Dakshina Bharat SS calender in that the month begins with Amavasa.

In Uttara Bharat, I think new month begins with Purinma  using VS.
