Thanks for the link to the very interesting composition contained in the
post.
Upon a search these two pieces of information emerge:

composer Giriraja Kavi is not related to Saint Thyagarajar as the
grandfather of the latter.

This site however, identifies a Giriraja Kavi as the grandfather/uncle of
