The Chandogya 6th chapter gives three analogies: clay, gold and iron - all
three to equate with Nirguna Brahman.

The Gaudapada karika adds one more: visphulinga: sparks coming from fire.
This analogy is also to show Brahman the cause being the source of the
world.
