The
meaning, in the corrected reading, I think is: Just as the sun, whether
captured in a reflection in the water in a pot, or when no such reflection
is there, is the same. It makes no diff to the sun. Similarly bondage or
liberation does not make any diff to the Atman.

Atman when endowed with impurity is termed 'pashu' (animal) bu the Knowers.
When the Atman is purified, it is termed 'shuddha' by the Knowers.

By constant contemplation of Ishwara, over time, one becomes extremely
pure. Hence I have contemplated on Ishwara and have become one with Him.

A man spends the night with the erroneous idea of a snake in a rope. When
the delusion has ceased, over time, the snake is not seen any longer.

Jivanmukti

Similar (to the rope-snake) is the case of bondage and liberation of the
atman, since (being ever free) that is the nature of the Atman. By the
knowledge of one's svabhava, true nature, one is liberated. He is indeed a
Jivanmukta.

Upon the fall of the body of the jivanmukta, he attains the Supreme, just
like the pot-space is one with the infinite space upon the breaking of the
pot.
The meaning of the second half of the verse is not clear.

In the Vol 1 of the book Sridakshinamurti sotram, page 691, English, the
author has cited a passage as from the Suprabhedagama:

[As water poured in water, milk in milk or ghee in ghee, so also jiva
merging in Shiva, becomes non-different]

However, I could not find this passage in the editions of the
Suprabhedagama that were available to me on a search.

The above passage, with some or more variations is found in many other
texts, though:

Here it's about Vishnu merging in Shiva.

There are such 'pure' Advaitic statements in Vaishnava Agamas too.
