NamasteWhat's quite strange is how later Vijayanagara kings veered towards srivaishnavism on account of witnessing some miraculous displays. They did not outright disown the Advaita tradition (which already validates bhakti in all forms) but seemed disproportionately attracted to srivaishnava theology.

A post from Shri Natraj Maneshinde:

In the Mangalacharana, he invokes Bhagavan Ganapati with the popular verse :

वागीशाद्याः सुमनसः सर्वार्थानामुपक्रमे ।
यं नत्वा कृतकृत्याः स्युस्तं नमामि गजाननं ॥

This verse is actually composed by Bhagavan Sayanacharya which can be found in the Mangalacharana of his Madhaveeya Vedartha Prakasha, the commentary on all extant Veda-shakhas.

Praudhadevaraya also invokes Bhagavan Bhavanipati Virupaksha who is described as the Pratyagatman.

Finally, Bhagavatpada has also been reverently invoked.

यद्भाष्यामृतपानेन जरामरणवर्जितम् ।
पदं याता हि विबुधाः शङ्करं नौमि तं गुरुम् ॥

[ I bow down to Guru Shankara, by drinking whose Bhashya-amruta, the wise attain the state of immortality]

It is heartening to see the king’s shraddha towards Advaita Sampradaya and Bhagavatpada.
