[Advaita-l] [advaitin] rAma-krishna-shiva-durga etc. are not same in shAstric vyavahAra!!!

This discussion is being taken in wrong directions by all parties.

A person pursuing Jnana Marga like a Sanyasi will say all forms like Rama,
Krishna, Shiva, Durga are same.

But a person in Upasana or Bhakti Marga will say his favorite Devata is the
highest. Others are inferior to that Devata. This attitude is required to
make progress in his path.

It is like a Pativrata Stree. She will say her husband is the best among
men though she will agree in principle all men are equal.

Among Smartas itself there are Shaivites mainly but there are also
Bhagavatas. The Shaivite Smarta will say Shiva is Supreme Brshman. The
Bhagavata will say Vishnu is highest. But both will agree only in principle
they are both the same Ishwara. But in practice one is superior to
the other.
