Celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr (3/5/22) in this mother land marks Prophet ( Messenger of GOD) Muhammad’s quest for peace, universal brotherhood (Guru Bhai), social cohesion and national integration along with cultural festivity and a deep compassion for the destitute
Eid literally means  something that returns every year , while ‘Fitr’ refers to acts of charity/Daan for the less fortunate. At the same time, One shouldn't do "ApatRa Daan'. i.e One should do the charity for those who are eligible & who are in need of that. e.g., If SOME one is Rich by birth, you shouldn't offer some thing to him. He can always get anything with the money he possess  which clearly indicates that 'Aparta daan leads to DOSH'.
Together, Eid-ul-Fitr denotes an occasion that repeatedly comes to revitalise a humane spirit in us towards the weaker sections of society. Besides being the most sacred Islamic festival at the end of Ramzan, it also serves as a beautiful reminder to the Prophetic heritage of peace, unity and inclusivity which increases the TOLERANCE levels. Thus, Eid-ul-Fitr returns every year to revitalise our faith in the unity of mankind, universal brotherhood (GURU BHAI), equality, social and cultural harmony, and religious diversity, besides the spirit of charity.

when we are in dire need of unity, inter-religious cooperation, national and social integration, the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr seeks to bring us together in a spiritual synergy to preserve our shared local cultural heritage; India’s inbuilt inclusivity, religious diversity and unity in multiplicity.


In India, Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us that if we truly follow the peaceful ideals of the Prophet in letter and spirit, we must act as part of ‘One Nation’, a multi-religious ‘Ummah’ bound by the Constitution of India, which is considered one of the best and the most democratic in the world. The Prophet imbibed these universal values through different ways. Eid-ul-Fitr became one such medium to inculcate the essential social ethics of Islam in a festive spirit. In its truest sense, Eid-ul-Fitr has been celebrated to strengthen these principles on which the Prophetic society was built.

Every year, Eid-ul-Fitr arrives to remind us of the Prophetic legacy of love, generosity, sociability, unity and solidarity. Let’s pledge to inculcate these noble Prophetic values through the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, in our multi-religious and beautifully diverse society with an aim to foster peace and communal harmony.
