This is the overall practice that Swami Vidyaranya suggests:

तच्चिन्तनं तत्कथनमन्योन्यं तत्प्रबोधनम् । एतदेकपरत्वं च ब्रह्माभ्यासं
विदुर्बुधाः ॥ १०५॥


Thinking/contemplating That Brahman, talking about that when one is
required to, exchanging these thoughts with each other, being committed to
this practice.  Coming to details, those yuktis taught by the shastra to
arrive at the conviction that I am not the body-mind complex and that the
world is not real.  These are detailed in several Vedantic works.
