No need to wonder Bhaskar ji, the two entities are completely different
from each other. Kapila, an avatara of Vishnu, is the one who taught
vedanta yoga moksha to his mother Devahuti in Bhagavatam. The other Kapila
is a muni who propounded the pradhana kaarana vaada sankhya doctrine. The
latter is refuted. The former is glorified.  Not many people know the
difference and get confused, not being able to differentiate the two and
say which is which.
