काश्मीरमण्डलं also has a parvata called श्रीशैल.  Also, the dhyAna shloka has a word 'शान्डिल्येनोपनीता' ie., that which has been brought into presence by the penance of Rishi Shandilya which is none other than the Sharada of Kashmir which is the result of the penance of Sage.

Also, the name शारदा denotes that Goddess which is worshipped in the sharad (Autumn) that denotes the sharada navaratri mahapuja and hence the name shAradA.
