The Ajativada verse in Bhagavad Gita II-19 , which is the same as used by Gaudapada in Mandukya-karika II-6, says it all that there has been the Brahman alone in the beginning and He alone is at the end and there is none else in between.

If I add to the above it was brahman alone before creation and after praLaya and what is there in between is brahmameva nothing else. Hence elsewhere gaudapAda says : tatvaM adhyAtmikaM drushtvA, tattvaM drushtvAtu bAhyataH, tattveebhUtastadArAmastatvAdaprachyutO bhavet. Sri SSS translates this in Kannada (for the Kannada readers and for the one who wants to know Sri SSS stand on sarvAtmakatvaM) : avidyAdrushti inda namma munde enenu kaaNuttiruvudO ivallavu brahmave (quoting mundaka 2-2-11) brahmavallavendu naavu ariyuvudellavu haggadalliruva haavinarivinante avidyeyinda aada vikalpa mAtrave. Idannu manavarike maaduvudakke shAstravu 'idalla' 'adalla' endu allagaLeyuvudu. Next he quotes saMpradAya vida gaudapAda from kArika explains in Kannada : Olage deva, indriya, manassu muntAgi adhyAtmika vikAravellavannu paramAtma tattvave endu aritukollabeku, horage kANuttiruva pruthivyAdi vikalpagaLannu tattvavende kaNdukoLLabeku, taanoo tattvave, pramAtrutvavemba vikalpavu tannalli illa embudannu kandukoLLabeku. And concludes this is the methodology of teaching of shAstra and this is what meant by understading of declaration of scriptures ( ide shAstra bhOdaneya krama ide shastrArthavannu aritu koLLuvadembudu ).

Hari Hari Hari Bol!!!
