The veda itself washes it's hands off that question. In the Taittiriya
BrAhmaNa (TB 2.8.9), it is said:
को अद्धा वेद? कः प्रवोचत्? कुत आजात? कुत इयं विसृष्टिः?
Who clearly knows the answer to these questions? Who can give replies to
questions like this? Where did this creation come from? What is the purpose
of this creation?
Essentially when asked to explain creation, shruti shrugs :)
Therefore enquiring into the cause of creation and the purpose of creation
is meaningless - no logical answer is possible. Therefore, it is all
anirvachanIya, says the shruti.
