Kalidasa inspired by the Shivapuranam

The famous invocatory verse of the Raguvamsha kaavya of Kalidasa:

वागर्थाविव सम्पृक्तौ वागर्थप्रतिपत्तयॆ |
जगत: पितरौ वन्दे  पार्वतीपरमॆश्वरौ ||

This verse is inspired by the Vayaviya samhita of the Shivapuranam as the
commentator Mallinatha specifies:

शब्दजातम् अशेषं तु धत्ते शर्वस्य वल्लभा।
अर्थरूपं यदखिलं धत्ते मुग्धेन्दुशेखरः॥

http://gretil.sub.uni-goettingen.de/gretil/1_sanskr/3_purana/sivap7_u.htm

śabdajālamaśeṣaṃ tu dhatte sarvasya vallabhā // ŚivP_7.2,4.66ab/ [
alternative reading śabdajātam...]
arthasvarūpamakhilaṃ dhatte mugdhenduśekharaḥ // ŚivP_7.2,4.66cd/

 A sloka found in Tantra-vartika of Kumarila Bhatta seems to be quoted from
Kalidasa’s Abhijnana Sakuntalam *{satam hi sandehapadeshu vastushu
pramanamantahkaranasya vrittayah*}. Kumarila Bhatta is admitted to have
preceded Shankaracharya. It is well know that Shankara has cited a verse
from this samhita of the Shiva purana in the Vishnu Sahasra nama bhashya.

//Namaste,
There is a specific reason why this sloka is addressed only to पार्वती
and परमेश्वर. If Kalidasa wanted to offer salutations to the
God/Goddess of वाक्, it should have naturally been offered to सरस्वती.
But here it is not the case. The reason being found in वायवीयसंहिता -

शब्दजातम् अशेषं तु धत्ते शर्वस्य वल्लभा।
अर्थरूपं यदखिलं धत्ते मुग्धेन्दुशेखरः॥ //
