To avoid confusion, perhaps the statement

 << 'The body-mind (that was wrongly seen
 as the Self) is (now known to be) nothing but the Upaniṣadic Atman.'

could be rephrased as

<< the Self (that was wrongly seen as the body-mind ) is ( now known to be
) nothing but the Upanisadic Atman >>.
