Namaste

Adi Sankara has practically agreed with Bhagavata followers in the
Sutra Bhashya 2-2-42 on Supremacy of Narayana. He has said -

उ. ७ । २६ । २) इत्यादिश्रुतिभ्यः परमात्मनोऽनेकधाभावस्याधिगतत्वात् ;

His Parama Guru Gaudapada has also worshipped Narayana only in
Mandukya Karikas with words द्विपदां वरम् and Sankara Bhashya is

This पुरुषोत्तम is nothing but Narayana only because in first Sloka of
Mahabharata they have used word नरोत्तम in नारायणं नमस्कृत्य नरं चैव

Therefore it is very clear Narayana is the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.

The trouble with Vaishnavas is they are restricting this Narayana to
meaning Vishnu only. No, Narayana is including Brahma, Siva, Vishnu
and others also. He is not one particular God but all gods. He is
Supreme.

We should also remember Ishwara is not final for Advaita but Nirguna Brahma is.
