Kaivalya Upanishad is 8 is quoted in Vishnu Sahasranama BhAshya

*27 शिव Siva -*The one who is pure because of absence or transcending of
three guNa-s (in him) is called as Shiva. 'He is Brahma, He is Shiva'
(Kaivalya. Up. 1.8), in this way, by showing non-difference (अभेद) between
them (all three), by praising the name of Shiva, etc, it is the praise of
Hari (Vishnu)
