Further to my yesterday’s posting already too lengthy, I should like nevertheless to add a few lines. For the “happy few” who happen to have some knowledge of the French language, which is somewhat old-fashioned, but not yet dead, completely out of fashion or worse la-di-da, I indicate here below my French translation of 

mahaanaaraayaNopanishhat.h – ekonaashiititamo.anuvaakaH .

79.2: satyena vaayuraavaati satyenaadityo rochate divi satya.n vaachaH

pratishhThaa satye sarvaM pratishhThita.n tasmaatsatyaM parama.n

vadanti .. 2..

G.W.’s translation (79.2) : C’est par la vérité que le vent souffle. C’est par la vérité que le soleil brille dans le ciel. La vérité est le fondement de la parole. Tout dépend de la vérité. Par conséquent, les sages disent que la vérité est suprême.

English rough rendering:

It is by truth that the wind blows. It is by truth that the sun shines in the sky. Truth is the foundation of speech. Everything depends upon the truth. Consequently, the wise men say that truth is supreme.
