[Advaita-l] adhyAsa = avidya? (adhyAsa as the root cause of evil)

Dear Kartik and Venkat,
 
Is not adhyAsa the same as avidya? (vide AchArya's BSB)

How can avidya be the cause of adhyAsa when avidya itself requires adhyAsa?
