Tomorrow is shrI rAma navami. Let us use this opportunity to
meditate on shrI rAmachandra mUrti. In the uttara of shrI viShNu
sahasranAmam, the verses glorifying the greatness of Lord Rama's
name occurs as a conversation between pArvatI devI and Ishvwara.
It states that chanting Lord Rama's name is equivalent to
chanting the whole sahasranAmam. Chanting Rama's name pleases
all. Ishwara says that he is most pleased with Lord Rama's name.

In Tamil, same meaning is succintly conveyed by the phrase
"rAma nAmame nAmamAyiram".
